A piece with memories is a composition for a flexible number of
musicians and instruments. The musicians play through a number of
pitch constellations while retrieving memories about a specific time,
place, or person of their individual choosing. These two processes, of
playing specific pitches and of retrieving and verbalizing memories,
inform each other in terms of space, time and activity; creating a
place for contemplation by means of contemplation and remembrance.
